Okay, I may do a bit more before the night is out, but at the moment, I'm at 1,892.
And in the precedent set by Joseph on his blog during March, I'll post my last paragraph.
"She raised her long neck high. Her horns scraped rock. Her tail she wrapped again around her egg. Her wings she still kept tight. She hissed her warning and still they crept closer. If she were any other dragon—anything other than a white—she would cook them here, now, and be done with their insipid greed. She would let them experience their brief, final moments of life aflame in dragon fire. But teeth and talons would have to suffice. Men die just as easily by those. But the thought of her egg being sullied by human innards revolted her. She would permit them to come no closer."
Gawd, what a day of madness. Huge effort to commit if only an hour before passing out. Count 1077. It could just be a scene from Breakfast at Tiffany's because that's what I was listening to and my brain is too fried and flying on auto-pilot. At least is not the zero I feared I was reporting.
I am reporting 1002 words tonight. Tomorrow I will be busy the whole day and hope to get some writing done only in the evening, but by Thursday I will be writing a whole lot more:-) Congrats to all who accomplished their goals today and here is to an awesome start!! Mona
